see and do in and around the city. Explore the Medieval Old Town and the
Georgian New Town, visit the many Art Galleries and Museums, The Castle
and Holyrood
Palace. Near the Palace you can now marvel at the new

then climb to the top of
Arthur's Seat for the spectacular views of the City and the surrounding
counties. Feed the squirrels at the world famous Botanical
Gardens;
visit the Royal Yacht Britannia - see how the Queen lived as she sailed
around the world. Wander down the Royal
Mile including the Scottish
Whisky Heritage Centre and Camera
Obscura. Discover some of Edinburgh's ghostly past with Mercat
Tours. Then rest your weary feet
in one of the many cafes or pubs! So much to see - so much to do!!!

is a must, then go and watch glasses and vases being made and engraved
at the Edinburgh Crystal
Factory. Children of all ages love to visit Butterfly
World, the Dalhousie
Falconry Centre and
Deep Sea
World, or go to the Zoo. Why not visit
the local
Whisky Distillery and sample some of the

Mining Museum and Arniston
House. A little further away at North Berwick a well
worth visit is the Scottish Seabird
Centre. So much to see - so much to do!!!
At the end of a busy day, come back to Carlethan House and relax with a
cup (or glass) of something on the patio, or if the weather is cool, sit
and warm yourself in front of the fire and plan what to see and do
tomorrow." |
